    Description

    Antique Silver plate Scottish Silver on Copper Footed Cream & Sugar. In very good antique condition. The lid has a patina which hard to remove. No dents or any other defects.
    Measurements; Sugar-3.25:tall, 6.5" from handle to handle, 2.5" opening. Creamer-3.25" tall without lid, 6" from handle to spout, 2.5" opening.
    Marked with Scottish lion and S H S H in for squares.
    Sterling silver was guaranteed in Glasgow with the Lion Rampant mark from 1819 till the closure of the assay office in 1964. King William I, ‘The Lion’ (1142-1214) , adopted the Lion Rampant for his Royal flag. The lion is shown rearing up with three legs stretched out and has been incorporated in the Great Seal of Scotland and
